(WF1)Story book promises 1.5

"Nice."

date: June 14, 2008

Somehow the beginning melody with the synths didn't make it for me, but the one after it, around 00:41, was something that really stood out. Fits for many different things. You could always see if some more instruments would make the song better, maybe some quiet strings to go with the starting melody too. Maybe.

Pretty good mixing, pretty good melodies, You get 8/10 and 4/5.

The Egyptian Symphony Of Death

"Man, I'd like to hear this with real guitars"

date: June 14, 2008

I gotta give a 9/10 for that, real guitars would have fucking owned with this composition. Nice orchestral stuff between, however I think somewhere around this song are those integration problems aswell which I told you about in my other review :P

Very nice, keep it going. And get yourself a good recording opportunity with the guitars :P

Adapt to the Horde (vocals)

"Very nice, I like your vocal work alot."

date: June 14, 2008

9/10 and fived.

The mixing could be better. You should have lifted up the volume since it's a bit too silent in my opinion.

Very nice melodies, and I really like your growling and (your dad's it seems :P) clean stuff there.

Keep it up, man.

The Black Count's War

"Fitting for an older video game boss music"

date: June 14, 2008

The melody is more than fitting to it, but I must say, the drums just plain suck :P

I like the rest of the stuff, though it (maybe) could have more differing in the progression. But nice going anyway.

You'll get 8/10, 4/5, 3.63 / 5.00 (+ 0.069).

Serenade Le Devil

"More integration needed, IMO"

submission: Serenade Le Devil
date: June 14, 2008

The melodies are very nice, and fit together, but what bothers me when listening to this is the fact that the changes from orchestral parts to metal parts pretty often went suddenly and with more integration I mean having, for example, the guitars start out a bit before the measure when the part has changed. To give the song a more lively feel.

The melodies remind me of Heroes tunes, and I very much like those, so it's a big bonus for you :P

Very nice, keep it up.

Necessary Suffering

"I feel bad for giving 9/10, but..."

date: June 14, 2008

Even the song itself is a fucking kickass song, I need to take into consideration the fact that the vocals could have been mixed better into the song. Don't get me wrong, it's awesome as it is already, but I'm a picky bastard :P

Anyway, you get a five outta this.

Author's Response:

Thanks dude. Elf did these vocals and mixed them in a long time ago, so ...he is definitely better at mixing. I just hadn't posted this for a long ass time. haha.
No worries there.
Glad you like it overall. I'll probably revisit the music now that I have much better equipment as well, meaning elf will probably want to redo the vocals too. But thanks for the review, dude man. !

Ecneibma

"Damn"

submission: Ecneibma
date: June 14, 2008

Sounds very nice, eerie feel with relaxing drums. I'm thinking whether the drums would have sounded better (notice thinking, I'm not actually giving an advice here :P) with less reverb, now they're very roomy, but it's down to what kind of a feeling you want to give it, of course. I like this one alot anyways.

And the piano annoying? It added a very nice touch for it. Your sister clearly doesn't know what she's talking about :P

June 14, 2008

Author's Response:

well i could make a vers with less reverb and let you hear what it'd sound like if you wanted!

just pm me about it.

and you're darn right bout my sister haha

Warehouse of Neglect (Metal)

"Lovely."

date: June 7, 2008

I like how the brutally basement-like approach to the sound fits this like a glove. And nice riffs all along.

_-={Victorious Day}=-_

"Very good"

date: May 19, 2008

I like the melody much, but I was left hoping for more rhythmic approach. Especially after the "intro", it needs more apparent bass drummings than there is at the moment IMO. I believe it would have been even more epic with bigger and louder bass drums and some rototom action.

Still, very good. Deserves a 9 IMO.

"Very nice."

date: May 18, 2008

This one's very epic. I like the way you handle the melody and the rhythm. Deserves the appreciation it gets.

I wanna ask you, what did you use for your choir? Sang them by yourself or used a software?
