I completely agree with you man, the rating system on the AP is completely out of whack. But still man, I hope that you keep submitting your music cuz' I'm a big fan. :P I guess the only thing to do with a fucked up system like this is just to say "fuck it" and keep moving on. Ignore the assholes. Ratings don't really matter when you got true fans following your work anyways.

Well yeah, true that. But the most annoying thing is that if the zerobombers are efficient enough, the songs won't reach the ears of the fans either :P
And it's all probably just because your music doesn't sound like Zeppelin or ACDC or some other ancient semi-talented band that preteens and freshmen in highschool listen to because they want to fit in with middle-aged dudes.
No doubt stuff like this happens to every artist in the NGAP, getting 0-bombed because you just don't sound exactly like what the current trend is wherever it is.

I know there's alot work to be done for liljim and the staff, but goddamnit, I don't fucking care even if people say that the Flash portal is the main thing on this site, if they can't maintain control of the AP voting system or change it anyhow, that's sad. Why even have one in the first place if there's no interest of keeping it in good shape.

Same thing has happened in a major way to my tracks... they all went from 4.2 to 3.2 over the course of a month or so of direct, targetted bombing. Someone or some people don't like me D:

Seriously, don't worry about it. You've got a core group of dedicated fans who will listen to every new song you post. And now, with the RSS feeds, it will be even easier for them to find out about your new tracks. The score never meant much anyway... but it WAS a good way to get new listeners.
I didn't even know there are RSS feeds now :P And that was my main problem with the score dropping, that even the people that do listen to the songs won't get their hands on the new songs I submit because it will never show up anywhere.

I'm with you on this one. For god sakes, I had to run an IP filter on my Destructive Paths audio submission to see who kept zerobombing the damn song. Guess what? It was fellow artists that had shit songs and wanted it to be number 1. Like seriously, that's bullshit. I think there should be an automatic like review if you vote 3 or below. Make them say something before just zerobombing the balls out of it.
We need to raid Tom's mail to get his attention, this crap can't continue, I refuse to release anymore songs just to save what dignity I have left.
Yeah, that review thing is a really simple and a working solution. Which is why I don't understand why it's frowned upon by the staff (it has been suggested before). Even if they would still zerovote, they would actually have to give a reason for it, and if they don't, then they can't fuck everything up. And in my opinion it wouldn't even matter if you'd have to review a song in order to vote 4-5 for it, it's not like I want to be constantly on the watch to save my songs from utter damnation (which I quit for a month and now look what happened).
Don't let those jerks push you out. I understand that it's annoying, and I personally think it's slightly immoral to zero bomb, but you'd just be letting them win. Just get out there and make some kickass stuff and leave dealing with the zero bombers to us fans.
I don't have that problem because nobody knows I/my music exists...ok, 10-20, maybe, but still.

That would be awesome, though then the portal would probably get clogged up :P I don't mind some zerovoters who actually do it just because they try to see to it that new songs get to the spotlight, which is the top ranking of the AP. But now people zerovote the new songs down instantly.
