Really nice.

A long intro. Creepy as hell too, works nicely with the overall piece. Amazing guitar work, really like the riffs. The vocals too, the great amount of variety is a big plus.

Of course, the mix has some gayness to it, but since you didn't mix it yourself, I won't crit you for it :P

Really tight stuff, man. The band should have continued it's work (if it doesn't, but that's what I've gotten from reading the comments and such).

Eternalreich responds:

Yeah this band is no more. We totaly worked with a producer that had never made a metal track before and wasn't metal influenced at all, But we got a good deal and we knew him pretty well. i wish we could have gotten a better guitar sound.

We had some rediculously complicated songs back then, i tend to write a little more simplified and catchier now. with better execution.

Awesome.

Really comedic sound atmosphere. Simple, but still effective. You'll need to do more music, man. MORE!

Ten and a five ( 4.03 / 5.00 (+ 0.074) ).

TheBardOfBlasphemy responds:

You rock, Dev...

Oh fucking hell.

This is fucking brutally awesome. Good mixing too. Utterly evil lyrics you have there :P

Have at you, ten and a fucking five, for this song deserves it.

TheBardOfBlasphemy responds:

fucking great review too from a fucking awesome metal-maker... fuck you Dev... you are a fuck. Fuck.

Fuck you for fucking listening.

Awesome.

Very nice shreddin' as always, dude. Doesn't sound repetitive either.

If you'll post this as a backing track, I will be giving it a shot. And this time maybe a real take on it, not a shoddy piece of shit like the earlier one :P

Five. ( 4.15 / 5.00 (+ 0.050) )

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks man, I'll be sure to post a it as a backing track and make it a little longer. I just got to rub on it for a minute hahaha.

Nice man.

Really nice soloing with this one, as Son-Of-Kirk said, this one will be hard to beat :P Nice scale movement. Why no trumpet solo? :P

I might try this one out but I'm not promising anything, I have a strong feeling that it would suck ass :P

Awesome.

sorohanro responds:

i made modulation to Bb for the trumpet, but was late in the night when i was recording.
well, i like your music and i'm sure you'll make a better solo ;)
thanx for review

Meh.

Seems like this has gotten zerobombed. Well then, I'll help you out with that atleast a little bit :P

Snare could be more "snarly", trebley, less bass, how you wanna say it. I also think it could have some more reverb on (maybe). You can get pretty good stuff out of it if you play enough :P

Awesome riffs, and a solid tune of kickassery (especially after vocals have been added). 10/10 and a five ( 3.70 / 5.00 (+ 0.11) ).

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Zeroes be everywhere. haha. No worries. I would like to say, I'm a 34 year old man, and a "virtual' score doesn't really bother me.
It does kinda make me wanna punch some motherfucker in the head. But meh. These fuckheads take the beats at school and shit EVERY DAY...so places like this and zero bombing is the only way they can feel like they aren't such losers.

Anyways, my friend..thanks for the support and awesome review. \m/

Hmmm.

This is quite happy, although I know where you're getting at with it :P Even though still I'm not totally sure whether I'd get "Sorrowed Tears" out of it. But now, let's focus on the song itself.

Very nice work! The atmosphere is nice, and you create it smoothly with the beginning there. I think the cello beginning somewhere around 00:30 is just about the volume where I would keep it. With a volume like that it creates a soft feeling to it. In the climax there should have been a string quartet, however. Would have emphasized the feeling even more.

All in all, a solid tune. 9/10 and a five ( 3.76 / 5.00 (+ 0.098) ).

Xyirx responds:

First of all, I really appreciate a long and great review.

After listening to it, I kinda know that it leads to a happy mood too, but hehheh, there was not enough time for me to fix the song much at that time, and it probably was the best I could do for now.

Yes, you're correct about the cello part. I just love the sound of it, so I let it first among the string quartet. At the climax, I did use the string quartet but keep them quite soft like you and others said. I should have made it more epic.

Well, thank you very much for the vote too. Your comment has been useful to me. :)

Very nice.

Complex melodies. Would have wanted the drums to have a notch up in the volume, they're a bit too quiet in my opinion. Sick soloing here. Nothing else really to say pretty much, it's awesome.

10/10 and a five ( 3.90 / 5.00 (+ 0.19) ), definitely.

Metaljonus responds:

yeah the drums are crap, I wish I still had the session so I can redo the drums. Thanks for listening.

Nice.

Diversity is always good with songs like this. Nice melodies, good playing, not bad at all.

Now to the technical issues. You should try adding some reverb to the orchestral sounds, makes them sound bigger and natural (since the only way for you to hear a real orchestra playing is a hall, duh :P). Balance between the orchestra and guitars was good. I'm not sure if you have already, but if not, you can test out taking some middle off from the riff guitars. They didn't sound so muffled though. But it never hurts to try :P

The guitars sounded to be recorded straight line-in without any kinds of amp engines or anything. If you have the possibility to grab a copy of Guitar Rig or Amplitube someday, I recommend it. There's some ways you can try to improve a straight line-in sound, but as I've been told, "You can't make gold, if the beginning product is shit" in terms of mixing. There's some pretty good free ones too, can't remember the names right now though. But definitely look for some guitar amp simulators if you're going for the line-in approach.

All along, a solid tune here. 9/10 and a five ( 4.30 / 5.00 (+ 0.25) ).

newskies responds:

Thanks!! Since this version is not final, I really appreciate your suggestions. Reverb sounds logical, I'll try that out :D
I record my guitar over my effects pedal straight into my pc^^
I'm glad you gave me those tips and happy you liked it!

Nice melodies.

Especially for such fucked up harmonies (:P), but I was left to hope for more cool guitar tricks and stuff :P

Good soloing nonetheless. 10/10 and a five ( 4.37 / 5.00 (+ 0.038) ).

DarKsidE555 responds:

More guitar tricks? Well...I'm not as bad ass as you so I have to pass on that. XP

Though, glad you liked it! :)
