It's good.

However, it could be better :P But I really have to applaud you, Battlefield 1942's theme... isn't exactly the easiest one to turn into a good metal song :P

At the intro I felt it missed something that would take you with the music and lead you on, but I think something like that finally appeared around 1:12, at the fast part. I really liked that one. And it continued to be good for a long while then :P Technically speaking, I think the drums should have been a bit louder, would have given a more intense feeling.

It's a good metal cover, but maybe not the best kind of approach. 9/10 and a five ( 4.35 / 5.00 (+ 0.011) ).

CWN responds:

I know what you mean.
I was really enthusiastic about it at the beginning... after recording some of it, it started to REALLY piss me off... so.. um, this is actually an unfinished version, i don't think I'll ever make a final version lol

I like this one.

However, removing the pad in the outro does kill the mood and continuity. And better to have less of the snare offbeat, it distracts from the feeling a bit. Someone has already gave you these two advices though :P

A nice, chilling beat. Would fit for quite many things. I like the melody quite alot.

Great work. 9/10 and a five ( 4.32 / 5.00 (+ 0.020) ).

SymbolCymbal responds:

thanks .. im, thinking about taking all the advice and re-doing this track.. it does need work and id like it to be a complete loop so someone can use it fer flash
thanks fer the listen

Very nice.

The real guitar riffs definitely make it much better than the original theme. I have some minor quibbles with some of the electronic beats, but that doesn't matter much, since I am still giving you a five and 9/10 :D

Keep it up.

DarKsidE555 responds:

It would be cool none the less if you had pointed it out. It's not like I and Zero-Resurrected want to get better too. ;)

Anyways, glad you took the time to review me back. Thanks as well for the 5! :D

Pretty fucking nice instrumental.

Don't have much to say, actually. It's like, it's fucking awesome, and it leaves me with nothing to say :P

There's some really, really minor quibbles with the mixing in my opinion. So minor that those could be taken as artistic choices than minor mistakes. However, you should have panned the riff guitars to the two channels to have it as stereo. That way it would have sounded more filled, and still would have left enough space for the leads to play in the middle.

It's awesome, and one of the few songs that I have favourited over here in the Audio Portal. Keep it up.

Sonofkirk responds:

Thanks for the review man !

All the rhythm guitars are panned to the two channels, in fact. Listen the song with a headphone, you will notice it.

Thanks a lot for faving the preview and the whole song !
Keep on rocking \m/

Sweet.

Your compositions are fucking awesome man. I had missed this, and I'm ashamed of that :P

I could crit you for the sound details, but I'm too fucking lazy with that, and you did it 3 years ago. So let me just say that the whole thing just fucking owns. Period.

Five'o and a ten. Stay metal.

Dimoria responds:

Thanks man but I don't have the dooms day orchestra behind me like you do ;D You are the one that's fucking awesome :) Next time please crit me with the sound details :) Cheers.

Short but sweet.

The soloing was plain tasty. Couldn't hear much of the riff, and the riffs could be stereo panned to the sides. Gives more space for the leads in the middle.

Does the name have a connection with the composition itself somehow? :P

Son-Of-Dime responds:

Haha, no. I names it "I'm retarded man" because I wasn't very inspired lmao. Plus, I don't care of this account, so FUCK THE TITLES ! lol. Check out my real account, I have good music there ^^.

btw, thanks for the very Helpful review, I will take account of what you suggested about the mixing.

Awesome

The bass start was pretty freaking cool. And your guitar sound. I'm not sure whether you EQ your vocals like it's normally done in studios, but growling sounds good nonetheless. Just lift up the drums in the volume also IMO.

Definitely continue with this. It's awesome.

Dimoria responds:

Thank you so much man :) I will :) I don't know what IMO is ? I don't know shit about mixing :p I just make something that I want to sound good :p
Cheers :)

Groovy.

Wah guitars and a groovy singer and what you have? Porn :P

Maybe the bass could have been a bit more louder, Iunno. But mostly I like the whole mix and the song. It does work without the guitars too, but most likely they would make it even better.

Nice. Keep up the good work.

Zineb responds:

Thanks :)

Pretty good.

Well, it certainly is accurate. Sounds like the mix was quite much compressed. I like the fact that you used much faster drums than the actual song.

Since this is a remix done with synth sounds, I cannot crit this much. You get 8/10 and a four from me.

Hades responds:

Yeah, I tried to speed it up a bit to give it a different edge. If I had a decent computer and a good program, I would have recorded the guitar and bass myself, but I guess this isn't too bad. Thanks a lot for the review!
